Elizabeth List - Maid of Honor
Kristy’s big sister and make-up artist since the beginning. From begging her to style her bangs at the age of 9 to asking her to patiently teach her how to wear make-up at the way too late age of 24. In addition to make-up, Elizabeth has been a model of compassion and patience for Kristy throughout her life. Elizabeth is currently a live-in home care provider for our sassy Grandma, in Saginaw, MI.
Kristin Knoll - Matron of Honor
Kristy and Kristin met in kindergarten but didn’t get serious until 3rd grade. It’s impossible to summarize a 23 year long friendship. Kristy has admired Kristin since day 1, she’s bright, kind and thoughtful about everything she does. This girl is a true gem, and if you’ve had the chance to know her, you already know it. Kristin is a Public Relations Specialist at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw, MI and is a new mother to the cutest little nugget, Jonah.
Melissa Bentley - Bridesmaid
Kristy met Mel at her first job, Bill Knapps, where Mel trained her to wait tables. Their first day working together was halloween and Mel was dressed as a bee and Kristy was in a toga. Since then, they lived together during their formative college years and have been through a lot by each others sides, changes, growth, shitty landlords, adventures. Melissa is currently a school counselor in Hood River, OR.
Keri Knoeferl - Bridesmaid
Kristy met Keri & Tekela at a party in college where they friend flirted and exchanged phone numbers. Keri is fiercely loyal and one of the most sultry animated characters Kristy’s ever met. They lived through a variety of attacks together, a robbery, a break-in and some of the worst dating choices they’ve ever made. (Yes, both of them.) Luckily they also raised Omar together, the best kitty. Keri is a RN at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, MI.
Tekela Fisher - Bridesmaid
One thing everyone knows about Tekela, she is a source of unrelenting positivity. When she’s around, no one is crying, she won’t have it. She’s passionate and adventurous and Kristy misses the hell out of her. They packed up their lives and moved to Portland together, which was short-lived for Kristy but she could not have done it without Tekela. Tekela is currently in Peru working for the Peace Corps, travelling like crazy, eating ceviche, and dreaming about sour cream.
Courtney Horgan - Bridesmaid
Kristy & Courtney met through Keri & Tekela and thank the heavens! They’ve spent most of their friendship living in different cities, which demonstrates the strength of their bond. Courtney is Kristy’s go-to source for bad jokes, trash talking, and most importantly, unabashed honesty. Courtney is an elementary school teacher in Chicago and her 30th Birthday is the day after the wedding. This is not the only time you’ll be reminded of this.
Paul List - Best Man
Kristy's brother, and Will's future brother-in-law. Being an only child, Will is ecstatic to not only be gaining a brother, but one with which he has so many shared interests and so much kinship. Paul is Will's go-to source for all things engineering, and he excels at commiserating over the self-inflicted defeats suffered at the hands one's own programming mistakes.
Josh Love - Groomsman
Josh is Will's best friend from high school, and partner in too many crimes to remember. Josh and Will met when they were sat next to each other in 7th grade band, kicking off a partnership that would carry them through lab work in physics, chemistry, and their shared AP classes. In high school, there were often extracurricular activities that involved 20,000 volts, aerosol propellants, and potato-shaped projectiles. A mechanical engineer, graduated from Purdue and holding a PhD from UC Berkeley, he lives in Albuquerque and his work is more or less classified.
Tom Mason - Groomsman
The fact that Will made it out of college in one piece is credited entirely to Tom. Tom is an excellent leader by example, and by direction when necessary. He was the driving force that convinced Will to transfer to Informatics from Journalism, and to not only join Kappa Kappa Psi, but to take on a leadership position in the organization. After they became serial roommates, Will did his best to keep things interesting and unpredictable, spawning more inside jokes than one should be able to absorb. As a home brewer, rock climber, and trained wilderness medic, Tom is the guy you want when you're stranded in the wilderness.
Jake Heppner - Groomsman
Jake and Will met in 2007 when Will first moved to Columbus, back when Will discovered that not only did he have no job prospects lined up, he had no resume, and no working computer. Jake was working as a manager at the Jimmy Johns where Will started work as a delivery driver. Years later they remained friends and became neighbors, sharing knowledge, beers, and the maintenance of their respective Honda Civic sedans. Jake has since moved to Burbank, CA, and is working on beginning a career in the green energy sector.
Andy Stewart - Groomsman
Andy Stewart is about the most multi-faceted person that Will's met in Columbus. First meeting as coworkers at Go Big, Andy and Will have graduated from downtown dance clubs years back, to now going fishing with his amazingly bright daughter. A never-ending fount of business ideas, Andy acts as a hunter & gatherer for a few different VC firms, coordinating meetings and the vetting process that lead to quality companies securing growth capital.
Graeme Timmins - Groomsman
Will finally got to meet Graeme Timmins in person back in April during the trip to New Orleans in which Will had planned out his proposal to Kristy. Only having heard one side of many long phone conversations between them, Will knew that Graeme has been a rock for Kristy for many years, and will doubtlessly continue to be there into the future. In the brief time that they've had to get to know each other, Will has seen first hand what an outstanding person Graeme is. Graeme lives in Dallas, work on level design for video game studio Gearbox.
