Alternatively, we would like you to consider a donation to our "honey fund". Contributions will help us create lasting memories on our honeymoon in the form of experiences. This might end up including a nicer cabin for our 5-day stay, dinners in town, beer and/or wine tastings, or perhaps even a chartered trip out on to Lake Superior!Dinner at The Vierling Restaurant & Marquette Harbor Brewery
In Dec. 1995, the Vierling became one of Michigan’s first brew pubs with the addition of a five barrel micro-brewing system. The brew equipment, direct from Budapest, Hungary is configured to produce some of the finest ales and lagers in 155 gallon hand-crafted batches. The relatively small sized batches of beer insures a fast product turn-over which enables the Vierling to serve the freshest beer possible with a multitude of varieties.
Sea Kayaking on Lake Superior
The trip covers the shoreline from Miners Beach to Shipwreck Point. Departing from Miners Beach you’ll see the Miners Castle and sea caves at the base of this rock outcropping and then as we paddle north east towards Shipwreck Point the magnificent coloring of rocks being stained by eons of water and mineral seepage down the face of the 200 foot cliffs. In total distance you’ll paddle about 6 miles.
Firewood
We're going to be at the cabin for 4 nights, so a big stack of firewood is going to be a must!
